Who was Manuel Torre, the cantaor who made the Alameda the kingdom of his cante?
Today brings the second chapter of this chronicle, a series I have so wanted to share with those who truly feel this art.
In the coming weeks I will keep publishing, little by little, fragments of the research behind my itinerary through the Alameda de Hércules — a memory documented thanks to writers, historians, professors, flamencologists… and also thanks to the neighbours and to some families who have opened their history to me with a generosity that fills me with gratitude.
Share this with someone who loves flamenco. Thank you from the heart.
What you have read here is truly understood when you walk it. Walk the route with me.
